Once something is compressed sacrifices have been made, not least of all size. A lot of discussion and research has been made to identify the parameters of human hearing. What is its range how high and how deep? The compressed musical revolution happened decades ago. Do we know what we are missing? Can we hear the imagined difference? Vast recorded music collections are shrunken into nothing physical. Many none humans can hear at different frequencies. Do the other animals understand? Is the primal urge missing from all the complexity?
