October 4:  1957 Soviet Union launches Sputnik 1 the first artificial satellite into orbit around Earth.
1965 USSR’s Luna 7 space craft crash lands on the moon. As humankind stretches out to conquest, it is these satellites and countless others launched afterward that are finally able to illustrate the damage that has been done to the Earth through humankinds vain ambitions.
