The blue suggests water, naturally enough. There is more than one meaning to the word quay, more than one spelling too. A subdued pallet of naturalistic colours. Still not 100% convinced on its orientation, landscape or portrait. It depends which type of quay is being seen. Painted over a black and white photograph with acrylic and enhanced with conte crayon and charcoal. The painting would benefit from a plain, simple card mount and frame. These items are not provided with the purchase.
