One of my earlier drawings/ artworks. A line shaded technique that tries to suggest a three dimensional quality of the form depicted. However shading of course is and illusion, a simple trick to fool the eye. A number of my earlier drawings developed in this way, taking influences from early etchings of human muscle structure and gnarly, wizened trees on bleak moorland and wind swept coast lines. Shelter is needed to protect us from the elements and the natural world.
