Statement
I have been an Artist for many years and have developed my own styles and themes. My work is mainly abstract and has been described as organic, expressive and intricate. The artworks range from ink drawings through to more emotive and abstract paintings. I usually paint with acrylics and use mixed media when necessary.
The main focus of my work lies in the contrast between the synthetic experience and the real experience, e.g. looking at a photograph of a sunset and experiencing it first hand.
My inspiration stems from my environment and humankind's continued disconnection with the natural world. Craving natural and organic products, while dwelling in unnaturally sanitised housing. I endeavour to comment on these differences within my various projects.

In a recent project I have tried to refine the exaggerated lines and strokes, concentrating on balance and simplicity. The artworks produced reflected my environment, composing and editing digital soundtracks. The subsequent paintings were derived from simple pen drawings made when listening to the sounds I had created. This satisfied some of my creative being, but all this digital despair cannot replace the effort and joy of physical painting and drawing.
